Winter Classic 2012

By September 23, 2014 blog No Comments

It’s that time of year again when the NHL gears up for their annual Winter Classic. And while there is a team of people hard at work making sure that there is an outdoor ice rink for the players, here at Flags Unlimited, with the great support of Flying Colors, we’re hard at work making sure that there will be lots of banners to deck out the stadium. A feat that takes well over a month to get through our production floor.
With a huge amount of pieces that need to fit together like a giant puzzle, it’s a fascinating process to watch. What is really exciting about this project for Flags Unlimited is that it is one of the few events where we get to see the final product set up. You can watch too as this event comes together for the game on New Year’s Day. Check out the live broadcast from the webcam in Citizens Bank Park (http://video.nhl.com/videocenter/console?catid=616&id=141909). Although we don’t have a live feed here from Flags Unlimited, believe me when I tell you our building is transformed as these massive banners make their way through. As the day gets closer, you will start to see them as they get set up around the rink and stadium.
We will all breathe a sigh of relief when this job finally gets shipped, however, we will be crossing our fingers that the weather holds up it’s end of the deal. After all, what’s Winter Classic without ice?

Great job to everyone who is working so hard here to make this job a success.
