Our Rich Heritage

In 1965, Canada embraced a new symbol and the new maple leaf flag was raised on Parliament Hill for the first time. This event, witnessed by thousands of Canadians, marked a turning point in our nation’s identity. Pride in this new emblem was felt across the country.

Flags Unlimited was founded the very next year, a small company with a big purpose: to supply a young nation with its newly adopted flag. We began a journey that would span decades.

More than 60 years later, we’ve evolved into a full-scale soft signage partnership for businesses, cities, and organizations. From our facility in Barrie, Ontario, we make millions of flags and fabric displays that mark milestones, honour communities, and unite people across the country and beyond.
