Have you been cheering the Toronto Blue Jays on this season? We here at Flags Unlimited have been. We even managed to take in a game back in May against the San Francisco Giants.
Taking a road trip to the Rogers Centre was also pretty cool for us as we got to see some of our work in action. If you have been in Toronto this summer you may have noticed the massive 48’ tall banners that flank the outside of the landmark building. We are not strangers to doing such massive banners for the Toronto Blue Jays, however, this is the first time we entered them into a National Sign Competition through Sign Media Canada. And guess what? We won Runner Up in our category!
It’s no small feat producing these huge banners. They are printed in 3 long panels and then sewn together. Being this large requires some extra reinforcement and particular planning to make sure they fit the existing hardware properly (the tricky part of printing on fabric is considering shrinkage, which increases exponentially on projects of this size).
The banners all turned out great and as you can see, they look amazing hanging around the Rogers Centre no matter what side they are viewed from. So great job and congratulations to the Flags Unlimited team on a job well done, as usual. And a huge thank you the Rogers Blue Jays Baseball Partnership for working with us.
